chocolate granola

Ingredients

3 cups rolled oats

1 cup raw nuts, chopped

1 tbsp chia seeds

3 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp sea salt

⅓ cup cocoa powder

¼ cup coconut oil (or avocado oil)

½ cup maple syrup

½ cup chocolate chips (or chunks)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 340F.

2. To a food processor add the oats, nuts, coconut, chia seeds, sugar, salt and cocoa powder. Pulse a few times to combine.

3. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, warm the oil and maple syrup until melted and combined. Pour over the dry ingredients and mix well.

4. Spread the mixture evenly onto a baking sheet, pack down with the back of a spoon (so that there will be granola clusters) and bake for 18-22 minutes.

5. Let cool completely. Then add chocolate. (or add on top while still warm if you want the chocolate to melt a bit into the granola clusters).

6. Store in container with an air tight seal to remain freshness.

7. Enjoy!
